Story & Atmosphere
Nestled in the heart of Heroica Puebla de Zaragoza, Terraza Quintal is a culinary gem that takes dining to new heights—literally. Situated on the second floor, this restaurant boasts a stunning terrace that offers breathtaking panoramic views of Puebla's iconic church domes, making it a perfect setting for any occasion, especially in the evening as the sun sets over the historic city.
As I stepped into Terraza Quintal, I was immediately captivated by the atmosphere. The arrival might be deceiving, resembling a quaint sandwich or pizza shop from the street; however, once you ascend to the terrace, the ambiance transforms into something truly special. The elegant decor, combined with the music softly playing in the background, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The menu at Terraza Quintal is a delightful exploration of traditional Mexican cuisine with a twist. For those adventurous enough, the beef filet with fig sauce is a notable dish—it is cooked to a perfect medium, though the sweetness of the sauce can be an acquired taste. If you lean towards savory flavors, you may want to explore other options, such as the renowned mole poblano or the rib eye steak, both of which have won rave reviews for their rich flavors and impeccable preparation.
Customer experiences further illuminate what makes Terraza Quintal stand out. From heartwarming stories of staff honesty, as shared by mélanie sylvain, to glowing mentions of friendly service and delectable food, each review emphasizes the high standards of both culinary excellence and customer care. The crêpas mezcal, in particular, shines with its theatrical presentation, leaving guests enchanted.
While the terrace may not always be bustling with customers, those who visit are greeted with sophisticated service that enhances the dining experience. Many have praised the staff for their professionalism and attentiveness, which truly elevates the visit.
Overall, Terraza Quintal is more than just a restaurant; it is a sensory journey through the tastes and traditions of Mexican cuisine, all while you enjoy an unforgettable vista. Whether you are there for a casual brunch or a romantic evening, this rooftop sanctuary promises to leave you with lasting memories and a desire to return. Don’t miss the chance to indulge in an experience where the view is as savory as the food itself!
“ The restaurant has a lovely terrace with beautiful views of the city’s many church domes, which creates a very pleasant setting, especially in the evening. I decided to try the beef filet with fig sauce—something a bit out of the ordinary. While the meat was cooked just right (a perfect medium, as requested), the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. I tend to prefer savory flavors, so those who enjoy a touch of sweetness might appreciate it more than I did. The cocktail menu offers a nice touch: you can choose your own mezcal and pair it with different mixers. However, the drinks weren’t particularly strong, and the mixers are charged separately, which is worth noting. Service was attentive throughout our visit. Around 8 or 9 PM, there was live music, which added a nice atmosphere without being too loud or distracting. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. While the food and drinks didn’t stand out as exceptional, the ambiance and service made for an enjoyable evening. ”
“ Everything was perfect; delicious food, friendly and professional staff. I had lost my wallet and help me found it so very honest people. The crêpas mezcal was SO worth it, plus it comes with a little show. I only removed a star for the ambiance because there was very few customers, but the music was nice. The view was also stunning! We highly recommend. ”
“ The food is very good with excellent service and the place has a great view. ”
“ Music could use some work but other than that it was amazing!!! Augustin was extremely nice and professional. The food was filling and the drinks delicious Will definitely be coming back ”
“ Mole poblano was fabulous. Salads outstanding. The entrance was very deceiving. We almost walked away. It appeared to be a little sandwich/pizza shop or a small hotel entrance. The terrace restaurant is upstairs !!! They should make sure you see that. We almost missed out ”
